Thanksgiving, Family, and Special Session...Beware, photo heavy blog!

I don't even know exactly what has happened this past week.  It has been a whirlwind of parties, crafting and family.  Seriously, my head is spinning!
I have so much on my mind.  I need to get you guys the next semester of crafts schedule...cause they. are. awesome.  I have 3 special pallet sessions next week, I have a ton to do for work and getting ready for Christmas at church, and then my little boy is turning 3 tomorrow.  Remember that cow party I promised to have for him 2 years in a row?  Well, I started planning for it today.  The party is on Sunday.  That's in 2 days.  To say I am a bit overwhelmed would be an understatement! So I decided to take a break from thinking and just write a blog instead.

We hosted Thanksgiving at our house this year.  We went super simple.  Paper plates , kraft paper as the table cloths, and plastic ware.  Easy set up and easy clean up.  We had about 35 people come.  It was great!
I found free printable on Pinterest.  That is what I used.  Easy Peasy.
This is the first "holiday" where my kids didn't match.  Boo.  I think I was so crazy busy with everything else that I really didn't have time to think about it or be sad about it.  They will be matching for Christmas so I have that to look forward to!  Breaks this mammas heart.

My girls and niece Jessica make our Thanksgiving veggie turkey.  SO cute!  They did a great job.  We had a good time.  I was exhausted.  We even crafted on thanksgiving and my family made pallet signs.  I guess that is a "perk" to being related to me.  Impromptu pallet craft sessions.  My nephew, Daniel, made a pallet sign for his girlfriend's mother.  I know.... he's awesome.  And it was perfection.  Like the most amazing sign. Ever.  I wish I would have taken a picture.  I was too worried about getting to Michaels that I didn't.
This week I also hosted a special Friday on the Farm on Tuesday.  I know, crazy...crafting on a Tuesday?  We made Christmas wreaths.
We wrapped our wreaths with yarn and then created fabric flowers to pin on them.  The flowers were a bit tricky to say the least!
Closet crafter Creed was at it again.  However, I heard her mumbling something about hot glue.  What?
And....the finished products...You ladies did a great job!

We also had a very special 1st birthday party to attend this past week.  I had been wanting to make this for the birthday girl and waited until the last minute.  Like we had to blow dry the paint so we could wrap it last minute kind of thing.
My nephew, Michael, is in the marines.  He came home to visit this week.  We packed the kids up bright and early to greet him at the airport.  We haven't seen much of him since he has been home, but our kids sure do love him.  So glad they got to give him a warm welcome home.
We also went to visit my Grandpa for Thanksgiving.  Less than a year ago he was a different man.  My heart aches for him.  It almost make visiting him hard.  Griffin was able to show him his cast.  (which came off the week as well!)
We all gathered around him.  The kids sang Christmas carols to him.  It was nice to be gathered with family being united and praising God for the legacy my grandpa created.
I would love to fill you in on more that happened this week, but I have a session of crafters coming in less than 10 minutes and have more to do yet.  Pom pom making and paper bow garland is on the plate for tonight.  Both are adorable.  I will post pics soon including a free downloadable template so you can make your own bow garland if you couldn't make it!

No proofreading again....sorry :(
